EVENT: 2009 Best Places to Work Awards Oct. 8

VERO BEACH — Workforce Solutions is proud to present Indian River County’s 2009 Best Places to Work Awards Ceremony and Luncheon.  This prestigious event will be held from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 8 at The Club at Pointe West in Vero Beach.  “Despite the economic challenges in the region, we’ve increased participation in the program by over 50% this year,” Indian River County Workforce Solutions Branch Manager Marcelo Dossantos said.  “We’re seeing employers take advantage of the information this program offers to their organizations.”The event will honor eight winners in two categories.  Commissioner Peter O’Bryan will kick off the event and Vice President of Operations for Workforce Solutions Michael Waninger will be the Master of Ceremonies. “Not only will we be honoring the best employers in Indian River County, many people come for the networking,” Workforce Solutions Business Services Consultant Joe Coakley said.  “This is going to be a fun, positive event for the business community of Indian River County.”Workforce Solutions is a private, non-profit, Florida corporation with a Board of Directors consisting of private business, economic development and education representatives, community and state agencies, and elected officials.
